The Slough Jets are pleased to announce that young defenceman Felix Hemmings-Maher has signed with the Jets for the 2026/27 season!
After impressing when called upon to play up with the Jets last season, Felix will take another step in his development by becoming part of the Jets team for the new season. Still eligible for the Under 19s, he will continue his junior hockey while also playing for the Slough Spitfires, giving him the opportunity to continue developing across all three teams.
Speaking about Felix’s opportunity with the Jets, Head Coach Lukas Smital said…
“Felix did a great job for us when we needed him last season. He stepped up from the Under 19s, didn’t look out of place and took his opportunities well. He’s been working hard on and off the ice and has a great attitude towards improving his game. He’s still young with plenty to learn, but I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to develop with us this season.”
Looking forward to another season at The Hangar, Felix said…
“It was awesome playing for the jets last year. I really appreciated the opportunities I had and learned so much playing under Smits, which has given me a great platform to keep developing my game.
I can’t wait to get out in front of the amazing Jets fans in the Hangar and hopefully play a part in making it a successful season for the team. See you all soon!”
